By TLex Steinhart have released a third iteration of their wonderful Italian naval inspired Chrono in bronze, and they're IN STOCK (at the time of posting). I should mention that OceanicTime is not affiliated with Steinhart Watches.
INTRODUCING the new Marine Officer BRONZE 44 from Steinhart. It appears to be the same watch that we saw released at the end of last year, only with a smaller 44mm case size, an olive green dial and a new movement.
Its wide bezel, finely brushed bronze bezel allows sufficient space for an engraved tachymeter scale, which can be used in conjunction with the chronograph to determine the speed of moving objects.
The watch is a modern interpretation of the Pre-Vendome PANERAI 1993 Mare Nostrum, an observer chronograph that was developed towards the end of 2nd World War for the Italian Navy's deck officers.
Its sober olive green dial ensures good readability in both daylight and low light owing to the indices and brushed golden hands being applied with Swiss C3 SuperLumiNova.
The Steinhart MARINE Officer Bronze is powered by a beautifully decorated Swiss chronograph module caliber, the Dubois Dépraz DD 2030, which is automatically wound by a skeletonized gold rotor, which can be seen through the stainless steel encased glass case back by gently shaking the watch.
A stunning watch indeed. I couldn't agree more with Steinhart, it's a 'MUST-HAVE' for collectors and enthusiasts!
