By TLex Ulysse Nardin have created a limited US Boutique edition timepiece that harkens back to the year 1851, when a schooner, named 'America' sailed past its competitors to win a race by a large margin thanks to an innovative new design - resulting in the creation of the prestigious America’s Cup challenge.
The new Schooner chronograph, much like the boat that it draws inspiration from makes good use of the latest advancements and technologies available to its makers (from watchmaking). Limited to 50 pieces, the watch has a 45.8mm Stainless steel case that has been coated with a durable navy blue rubberized finish.
Special features include: a Sapphire crystal case back and three distinguishable ornage minute markers on its dial. An element on its rubber strap is engraved with a commemorative schooner in gold. The watch has a water-resistance up to 200 meters.
The Limited Edition Schooner retails for 15,500USD and is sold at Ulysse Nardin boutiques in Florida at the Aventura Mall, Town Center at Boca Raton and the soon-to-open New York City boutique located at 50 Central Park South.
