By TLex Introducing TWCO Technical Watches, a new dive watch brand from the Netherlands. TWCO was started by a 20yr old chap studying watchmaking and horology.
His debut model, the 'Sea Rescue Diver' takes the majority of its design cues (certainly for the dial) from the former Spanish watch brand, San Antonio Watch Co. or SAWC's Day Date diver. Whilst the design is fairly safe it will tick many of the right boxes for those that like simpler sporty military type designs or indeed anyone pining after the old SAWC divers.
Specifications include: a 43mm bead blasted finished 316L Surgical Grade Stainless Steel case, a Sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating on the inside, a screw down crown with triple Viton® protection seals, a double Viton® protection sealed caseback and 600m (60ATM) of water-resistance.
The hands and dial markers are with Super-LumiNova® and the watch is powered by a Japanese made Miyota 9015 automatic movement. The watch is priced somewhat ambitiously at 850USD inc. VAT or 700USD ex. VAT, when you consider what some of the other micros are offering in this price category.
