TOKKOTAI Project by G.GERLACH

By TLex Something a little different today, and quite special actually. Not a diver but a very lovely interpretation of a Japanese naval watch. The TOKATAI Project is collaborative effort between Polish watchmaker G.Gerlach and the Spanish watch forum, Clubseiko. It pays tribute to a legendary Seiko (Seikosha) WWII Japanese Imperial Navy pilot's watch.

Its 43mm case is made of 316 Stainless steel. It is fitted with an AR-coated Sapphire crystal. Its water-resistance is 200 meters. The design of the hands and dial have been kept as close to the original as possible, but of course the old hand wound movement is now replaced by an automatic, the NH35 (4R35) with hacking and hand winding.
