DEEP BLUE Bluetech ABYSS II

By TLex A cool watch with a cool name! The new Bluetech ABYSS II from Deep Blue Watches, USA boasts a total of 52 Tritium Tubes.



There are a total of 49 tubes on the dial making for a pretty impressive light show - something Deep Blue watches are well known for!



The Alpha numeric hour markers give the mechanical dive watch a unique digital feel!



The Bluetech Abyss II has a large Stainless steel case measuring: 46mm (diameter) x 18mm (thick) x 55mm (lug-lug) x 52mm ( top-bottom).



It fitted with a Sapphire crystal, a 6mm thick divers bezel with SuperLuminova applied dive time-scale and a exhibition caseback that affords a view a 'Deep Blue' custom rotor.



The watch has a water-resistance of 500 meters / 1650 feet. It is fitted with a 'DB' signed screwdown crown, which is in turn protected by a large crown protector.



The was is driven by a Swiss ETA 2824-2 self-winding movement.



It comes a standard with a 26mm steel bracelet with divers safety clasp with 4 micro adjustments, 1/2 links, full links, and a wetsuit extension.

HELBERG CH1 SpyShots

By TLex Here are the very first spy shots of the HELBERG CH1 prototype watch of which there are two; one in bronze and one in steel.



HELBERG is a new vintage label from H2O Watches. The CH1 watch was inspired by the Rolex Deep Sea Special (DSS) experimental watch from 1960.



The CH1 plays off of many of the strong design features of the original watch such as the extreme spherical crystal, the massive lug plates and oversized crown.



The spherical crystal is hardcore - but don't worry a more subdued crystal is also available as an option.



Something that you might not know about the CH1 - its caseback is sealed with triple o-rings!



There aren't many watches that require such sealing, but then again 6000m mechaanical watches are few and far between.



The watch is offered with either a custom leather band with Helberg buckle or full metal bracelt with a a divers clasp with sliding adjustment.

VintageVDB 2012 Polished EDITION 'Burnished Beast'

By TLex Polished to perfection! The Vintage-VDB 2012 Polished Special Edition is limited to just 5 examples. It is based on the same spec. as the standard version of the watch, only with a different movement.



Its 46mm (diameter) x 54mm (lug-lug) x 14mm (thick) 316L Stainless steel case has been finished with a high polish. It has been fitted with a domed anti-reflective treated Sapphire crystal and unidirectional divers bezel.



One of the features peculiar to the VDB 2012 is that its winding crown is positioned at 12 o'clock. The crown is a screwdown type, as is the caseback, which allows for a water-resistance of 300meters. There's a '2012' engraving at 6 o'clock.



Under the hood of this burnished beast is a reliable Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. The watch is fitted with a custom suede strap with a polished VDB buckle.

SEIKO Prospex MARINE MASTER 'Spring Drive' SBDB008

Jaeger-LeCoultre DEEP SEA Chronograph in 'FAST & Furious SIX'

Paul Walker can be seen sporting a Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph on his wrist in the new Fast and Furious 6 flick.



Paul also wore a Master Compressor Diving 'Navy SEALs' Automatic in Fast FIVE.



As well as Paul Walker; Robert DOWNEYJunior, JEAN Dujardin and Al PACINO have also been spotted wearing JLC divers.

HAMILTON JazzMaster Seaview QUARTZ

By TLex Never let it be said that I don't ever post anything for the fairer sex! Here's a chic new lady's diver from Hamilton. I use the word diver loosely because the JazzMaster Seaview Quartz is only water-resistant to 10ATM. Would it have killed them to have given the watch an extra 100m of WR?! Nevertheless it is a fine looking watch albeit a little Seamaster-ish!



The nautical Jazzmaster Seaview features a 37mm x 18mm Stainless Steel case with a rotating bezel, a Sapphire crystal and a water-resistance of 10 bar (100 m) /145 psi. Its 18mm lugs are equipped with easy click spring bars to facilitate the exchange of the metal bracelet for a white leather strap. The watch is driven by a Swiss Quartz Cal. ETA 955.112 with a date window at '6' plus an 'End Of Life Indicator'.



Just in case you weren't convinced that it looked womanly enough, here it is draped over a ladies' handbag!
