NAUTICA NST Ceramic CHRONO

By TLex The new NST Chrono from Nautica boasts a 48mm case in ceramic and Stainless steel. The main case, which is available in black or white and the bezel insert are ceramic, the other components such as the bezel, crown and pushers are in steel. It is fitted with a mineral crystal and is water resistant to 100 meters.

The dial features Admiral's Cup style maritime signal flags as its hour markers. These might appeal to those seafaring types (not me), who would be able to see that the flags apparently spell out the name 'Nautica Sport'. The watch is powered by a Japanese made Miyota Quartz caliber, the OS-20 with chronograph complication.

TIBURON BlueSHARK

By TLex Introducing the new BlueShark from Tiburon Watches of Spain. This is only their second model, but it comes just a few short months after their debut diver, the Hammerhead. The watch combines a number of recognizable design cues with some success.

The case (43mm x 13mm) and bezel are not too dissimilar from that of the Jacques Etoile Atlantis (if anyone remembers that). Whereas the dial combines a Doxa-style dial in blue with a Plongeur handset. Technical features of the watch include: a Swiss made ETA 2824 automatic movement and a hardened mineral crystal glass.

EXTático REGULADOR and MORE

By TLex Here are the first 3D renderings of EXTático's REGULADOR project, which we saw previously as a concept.

Although the watch takes its much of basic design from the EXTático DIVER Nº1, it is inspired by a scuba divers' regulator, hence the name 'Regulador', Spanish for regulator. I don't have any furthers details at this stage, but the watch is due for release in August 2013.

JUNTOR I recently posted details of a new aluminum model from EXTático. This model is correctly named 'JUNTOR' which is inspired by something as familiar as nuts and bolts! As well as aluminum; Stainless steel, Magnesium, Titanium, Bronze and PVD versions are also planned!

MOVEMENT Did you know that EXTático have their own mechanical movement? Since the very beginning they had always intended on making their own movement with the desire to make all the pieces, including a new profile for gears.

Well they have done it! The bridges have been designed by EXTático using a Swiss base movement. The caliber EXT-HÑ1's three bridges, barrel, gears and wheel balance have all been manufactured in Spain.

The final polishing and finishing is being carried out in Switzerland. This movement can requested for any of their current models. For me this is what makes EXTático's one the most exciting new-comers to the dive watch industry.
